Safari Trip Planner ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
When you use our Safari Trip Planner, we may collect:
- Answers to 5 questions (destination, days, travel style, group type, budget) – stored only in your browser’s localStorage and never on our servers unless you contact support.
- License key status – a cookie or localStorage flag to remember if you have purchased Pro access.
- Email address – if you contact us via the contact page or support.
- Usage data – anonymized Netlify function logs (IP addresses are temporarily logged for security but not sold).
2. How we use your information
- To generate your personalised itinerary (via Google Gemini API – your answers are sent securely but not stored by us).
- To verify your Pro license key (via Lemon Squeezy).
- To improve our tool and troubleshoot errors.
- To respond to your inquiries.

4. Cookies and localStorage
We store a single cookie (`wep_pro`) to remember your Pro status for 30 days. We also use `localStorage` to save your answers and unlock status. No tracking cookies or analytics are used unless you explicitly consent in the future.
5. Your rights
You can delete all stored data by clearing your browser’s localStorage and cookies (site settings). If you wish to request deletion of any data we may have inadvertently stored (e.g., in support emails), email us at editor@joelodimo.com.
6. Children
Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when necessary. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
